  The Asia Forum is a Wellington discussion group which meets roughly once a month to discuss Asian affairs. It brings together members of the diplomatic, business, official and academic communities.

• Pyongyang Report
  A bi-monthly newsletter on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea - North Korea compiled by Tim Beal and Don Borrie currently hosted on the VUW server. Pyongyang Report can be accessed via Tim Beal's Asian Geopolitics page

• Cambodia Report
  A bi-monthly newsletter compiled by Farib Sos.

• 1st International Young Leader's Conference, Taipei
  APRI was asked to nominate a delegate to the conference organised by the Youth Affairs Commission under the Executive Yuan in Taipei 23-28 May in Taipei. We chose Ben Morris whose cv and paper are available online
  

• Taiwanese immigration to Australia and New Zealand
  This project was completed in January 1999. The Chinese edition is due to be published in Taiwan later in 1999 by Asia Pacific Public Affairs Forum and the English edition, Astronauts from Taiwan in September 1999.
