Alex Sundakov is the Director of NZIER. His areas of interest span the labour market, macroeconomic forecasting, and the economics of institutions. He has consulted in public sector management issues both in New Zealand and overseas. He has been with the Institute since 1997. Prior to that he spent 5 years with the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC
