Dr Kim has had a distinguished career in academia and
business. He has a MA from Yale and a PhD from the University
of California, where has also taught economics. Most recently
he has been Chairman of the Korea Trade and Investment
promotion Agency (KOTRA), Member of the Presidential Commission
for Globalization Policy, Chairman of the Policy Evaluation
Committee for the Ministry of Unification, Member of the
Presidential Commission on Financial Reform, Visiting Professor
at Yonsei University, Korean's ambassador-at-large for Economic
Affairs, Chairman and CEO of Media Valley, Inc, Chairman of
Korean National Committee for the Pacific Economic Cooperation
Council, Chairman of Society for Unification Studies, and
International Advisor, Goldman Sachs
